Hoss - lead vocals

"I guess if I really thought about it, I started singing when I was 10 years old. My biggest influence in music came from my father. He has always been a big music person. He listened to stuff like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings and " the Hag ". He was also a big fan of Bluegrass music, such as Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley and of course Lester & Earl. So, as long as I can remember I've had all this great music around me. Great pickers, singers and a way of song writing I could relate to."

"I used to ride around with my dad in that ol' pick up and listen... just listen. I would hear him sing, and certain parts he would put a lot of emphasis on. He was singing from his heart and I started to do that too. The love for that ol' music grew in my own heart. It's written about the common man, and a simple way of life. It's filled with our country's heritage. That's what I love!"

"Soon after that, I stumbled onto my older brothers albums and 8-tracks. Stuff like the Beatles, the Allman's, Cream, Yardbirds, and of course Lynyrd Skynyrd. From the first time I heard Ronnie VanZant sing and by the way he wrote his songs, I knew this man had southern country roots. It was plain to see, his "heroes" were the same as mine. His style was mesmerizing. Being a young student of music, I couldn't help but adapt to that style. They say the highest form of flattery is to copy, and so I did. Little did I know it would come in handy one day."
