Rob - guitar |

At age 16 Rob picked up the guitar for the first time. Inspired by the work of Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and his Uncle Terry. Impressed by his uncle's ability to reproduce Lynyrd Skynyrd songs note for note, he placed himself under his guidance. About a year later, having his fill of southern rock guidance, he set out on his own to play the hard rock and metal his heart was set on. Playing in numerous garage bands, his first real band, Rubicon, formed inn 1986. After a few years with Rubicon, he decided he wanted to write his own music rather than copy that of others. Forming Destiny in 1988, he received the chance to do just that. In 1990 he formed Divine Justice, an all original progressive rock band with which he stayed with until that band fizzled out around 1995. In that year he wrote and recorded a CD with the band Tear. From that point on, he played in several original bands until 1997. In that year his roots were calling him, and the decision was made to put together a Skynyrd tribute band, enter Hoss, and the rest is history. |
